Sharing Soil and Building Geophysical Data for Seismic Characterization of Cities Using CLARA WebGIS: A Case Study of Matera (Southern Italy)

In the context of seismic risk, studying characteristics urban soils and built environment means adopting a holistic vision city, taking step forward compared to current microzonation approach. Based on this principle, CLARA WebGIS aims collect, organize, disseminate available information buildings in area Matera. The geodatabase is populated with (i) 488 downloadable geological, geotechnical, geophysical surveys; (ii) geomorphological, homogeneous microzone maps; (iii) new Digital Surface Model. first publicly database that reports for whole spatial distribution fundamental frequencies overlying 4043 buildings, along probability levels soil-building resonance. aimed at broad range end users (local government, engineers, geologists, etc.) as support implementation risk mitigation strategies terms planning, retrofitting, management post-earthquake crises.
